Amazing Sun Halo Complex!

What a day. We have been greeted with some lovely atmospherics around the sun. I first spotted them at 11.55 and they are still present.

Heres a bright 22* Sun halo with faint Upper Tangent Arc....







Sundog 22* east of sun with section of Parhelic circle..

is that halo from the actual clouds/ice or the airplane contrails? its hard to tell what are clouds these days with all the contrails that seen to hang/spread around for hours these days, maybe im just getting old

I reckon its the ice crystals in the high level cirrus type clouds more than anything else but sometimes the contrails can add to these night time and day time atmospheric shots when they look like spokes connecting the sun to the halo complex!

But they would need to stay away at night lol..those contrails ruin my transparency but luckily i dont have that much air traffic here.
