Hi,

John Flannery has some eclipse shade which he'll be selling at the IFAS stand at the starparty. John Also put together another software CD (which I am busily running off copies of!) which will be on sale also at EUR2 (I think?). Great value for money anyway, lots of cool software and docs and the CD's even have labels on them this time! Detailed list below.

Welcome to the 2nd IFAS Software CD
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The software on this CD is "as is" - we do not directly support any technical queries on its use unfortunately.

It represents just a small sample of the bewildering amount of astronomical software available. A lot of the
software is written by a dedicated band of amateur astronomers in their spare time and we encourage people to
support the concept of shareware.

We welcome feedback on any aspect of the CD, suggestions about your favourite software, details of updated
releases of widely used packages, or any other comments on astronomy in Ireland. You can reach us at the
following email address:- skynotes

Clear skies in your explorations in astronomy!

Directory Description

html a pot-pourri of html files saved over the last few years by John Flannery. The saved web pages cover
a wide variety of astronomical topics, detail interesting web links, lists, etc. You may even find
some recipe pages that somehow managed to find their way into the archive! The files should be
unzipped into their own directory (about 1,500 files in total). A word of warning if you are copying
these files for someone; you should move them all back into a zip archive because copying the files
individually will take a very long time.

sky_2006 a collection of html files pertaining to celestial phenomena throughout 2006. Details include comets due,
meteor showers, anniversary dates, etc. These files are referenced for the bimonthly sky notes in the
IFAS newsletter Arcturus.

Send a cheque or a postal order for 99.99 to me, and I'll get it to you sometime....

Ah no, I'm sure Conor one of us can post it (or more, depending on how many are left) down to you, then you can make copies yourself too. Even PM me your snail mail address and I'll post it...
