Late Late Show Astronomy was created by spculleton
I've heard through a contact in RTE that Kenny is supposed to be doing an astronomy "special" on the Late Late Show next friday night following the success of the Mars missions. His guest of honour is rumoured to be Patrick Moore! Staying in is the new going out lads!

What about if an IFAS committee member were to email the relevant department/person in RTE about this, perhaps even adding to the content on the slot on Friday night... consider the following possible transcript:
Kenny: "Now, Sir Patrick, it has been great to see you on television all these years promoting astronomy and related topics to an always increasing audience, particularly in Britain, where your show started. Did you know that there is an ever-increasing Federation, if you like, in Ireland aswell? That all the amateur clubs and societies, of which there must be about 30 odd, are coming together to try promote astronomy in Ireland too?
Patrick: Really? No I didn't actually! I am aware of Astronomy Ireland, and perhaps the Irish Astronomoical Society and Ascociation, and I think one setup recently in Birr, but I didn't realise there was almost 30 of them here!
Kenny: Yes. In fact, they have an online community too, at www.irishastronomy.org , as well as the many clubs, who are in fact independent from each other, who have their own online web sites too. Some of them are very good, and are great sources of information, that even I (the King of TV in RTE), was never aware of. Its fascinating...
How would that sound?
