Listen to the Sky was created by albertw
"Sky Ear will be a one-night event in which a glowing "cloud" of mobile phones and helium balloons is released into the air so that people can dial into the cloud and listen to the sounds of the sky.
The cloud will be made of one thousand large helium balloons each responding to the electromagnetic environment (created by distant storms, mobile phones, police and ambulance radios, television broadcasts, etc.) with coloured blue, red and yellow lights. "

Interesting... not sure what the point is mind you (unless the mobile numbers are premium rate!)
Cheers,
~Al

I dont think my phone can be set up to auto answer an incoming call,
Do they expect the clouds to press the answer button on the phones ???
If its cloudy on May 4th, at least we'll be able to hear the eclipse

Hi Dave,
FYI, on most phones nowadays, when used in a car kit, there is a settings which allows the incoming call to be automatically answered e.g. after 2 rings, so you don't have to divert your attention or hands from the driving part.
This can be smulated by 'short-circuiting' the pins on the bottom of your phone which correspond to the same pin connections on your car kit...
AND you don't need the car kit either. The car kit connection simply shorts these connections in the set. A car kit has no circuitry. Of course, you have to find out which pins (usually 2) you have to do this to!
BUT, a fairly well known site which takes its name from a well know Arnie 'Terminator' Schwarzenneggar movie catchphrase, can provide tips on this.
It hangs up the call automaticlly when the incoming caller hangs-up.
