I think its a great idea (one that was flagged a while back), especially if its free.
I'd imagine there would be plenty of volunteers to log in and initiate the texts.

Guys, for privacy reasons I REALLY think it is a bad idea to give out numbers on a public board.

I can set up a private board for those who want to swap numbers with each other or you can do it by PMs if you perfer but it is a hugely bad idea to have your moblie number sitting on a web page with your name next to it that is regularly trawled by google and other serach engines!

No, I can set up a board that is only visible to those in a trusted group. That group can be managed by me, or more prefereably, a volunteer!
