Was just out observing Jupiter and Saturn (having failed earlier to catch Mercury in the twilight) and I say no sign of an aurora and no noticable NLCs but my horizon is a little obstructed unfortunately.

It looks a bit like the good folks at AuroraWatch had a glitch in their equipment yesterday - the readings seem to have quickly settled down to normal values.VERY LARGE increase in local activity, possible SSC.
