New gear and cloudy skies

I took delivery of a new eyepiece yesterday, checked metcheck.com today and it said tonight was going to be clear.Excellent, get to put the eyepiece through its paces. put the scope out at dusk to cool down, brought out eyepieces table etc, ran back in to print off my observing list and last few bits n pieces.

Got back out 10 minutes later, It is raining and there is total cloud cover... :x :x :x

That's a bummer, but at least we are better prepared these days...
