21 deg Celsius in the shade at the beach... scorching.. imaging the transit
with a seal chasing salmon 100 m off to my left. Portroyal beach
is just 10 miles west of Sligo where it was cloudy for most of the event.
Satellite imagery brought me to a persistant clear area from 7-11.15am
Pure magic and a memory to treasure !

john just had a look at your picture, nice image. looks like you got a good view of it. saw more cloud than anything else with the odd gap in the clouds.
at least someone had some good luck and definitely something not forgotten easily.

Nice picture...I had to resort to watching live on the internet due to cloud cover ( Carrigaline, Co.Cork). But y'know they didn't have the 'net 122 years ago!!!!!!!
