Drogheda astronomy club still active? was created by jeyjey
Last year I hung out with the Drogheda astronomy club a few times, but I've lost their contact info. Does anyone know if they're still active?
Cheers,
-- Jeff.

Jeff. The group sort of disintegrated over time. I was associated for a short time but pressure of work meant that I wasn't able to make many observing nights. I am looking now at setting up a proper group with monthly meetings etc. Whether or not this occurs is based on a couple of issues which I have to resolve.

Anthony Murphy told me they're trying to get it back off the ground. Astronomy tends to get sidelined during the relentles sunshine of an Irish summer.

Fintan & Emmet --
Thanks for the info.
Are Anthony (he's the MythicalIreland guy, right?) and Fintan working on the same group, or different ones? Anyone know if some sort of web/email presence is planned (the last group sent out text messages on cell-phones, but I don't have a cell phone).
Let me know if there's anything I can do to help.
-- Jeff.
