It seems that the bright nights are putting a dampner on the discussions a bit
I noticed reports on other forums about notilucent clouds, which apparently are most visible at this time of year, though I must admit I've never seen any.

Has anyone here ever managed to see or image this pheonomena?
Cheers,

albert,
i am sure i saw something like that last night from about 10.45 ut to about 11.05 ut. at first i thought maybe there was an aurora due but i didn't remember getting any warning emails. it started in the nw and moved across the sky to the sw as far as vega and it was there about 5 or 10 mins before fading out. then i saw somemore below the pole star and this went on until about 11.25 ut until it finally faded away.
stephen.
