Hawking gets Copley award today was created by TrevorDurity
Thought some of ye may be interested in this. It's being awarded to Stephen Hawking today. The actual medal he'll be given has travelled in Discovery and will be presented to him by Nasa administrator Michael Griffin.

Letting the medal travel in the Space Shuttle first is presumably the Scientific Way of sprinkling it with holy water !
