IFAS Eclipse trip videos on YouTube was created by albertw
Hi,
As a few people requested I've uploaded some of th eclipse trip videos to youtube www.youtube.com/profile?user=cadelor
It only accepts videos less than 100Mb and less than 10 minutes so not all made it up there.
Enjoy,
~Albert

Hi
Makes me wish I had scraped the dosh together to see it now....
Just one thing I noted was Seannies video 6 gives the impression that he was looking directly at the sun through a telescope eyepiece (which should be of course discouraged).
Not wanting to state the obvious, but some people who dont know any better might be tempted to copy you and have problems with their vision afterwards.
Anyway lots of fun was had by all

You are absolutely right Eric. In my defense, I was smart enough to use a proper solar filter before and after Totality. One only has a window of those few minutes of Totality to be able to observe the sun without the solar filter, for the obvious reason that the ENTIRE solar disc is covered by the Moon. Otherwise, such a move, even with a camera (and even at the Diamond Ring), to observe the sun should not be attempted.
I knew what I was doing, but I would not even be remotely stupid enough to place ANY camera directly onto an unprotected eyepiece, let alone my own eyes! What you see in the video is with a Baader solar filter applied to the objectve (front) end of the telescope.
Seanie.

Is it just my computer or is the audio not in sync with the video? It's great looking back on them... awh, the memories!

thx for upploading
When videos are uploaded to youtube it can happen that audio gets out of sync.
