Does anyone who uses this in their sites notice that it is missing?

I think it went missing a few months ago. mike scully does most of the work on our site and he has a different feed there at the mo. bottom of home page

Seems fine to me. The SDAS Daily News page has articles from Universe Today from yesterday

What feed are you using for that Al? The old one was the javascripted syndicate, which does not seem to exist anymore. Are you using the RSS?
