Better that old people should die of talk than to have young people die in war.
Armagh Planetarium was created by jhoare
The eternal twilight of the Irish summer is fast approaching. Between mid May and the end of July the sky will get no darker than astronomical twilight, with the Sun's glow perpetually visible in the northern sky.
I suggest that it would be a good time to take the family or organise a group trip to the recently refurbished Armagh Planetarium . As one of the very few public education establishments dedicated to astronomy and space on this island it deserves our support, but equally it would be a good day out.

Thanks for the vote of confidence Seanie, but I think that given the logistics this is something that has to be organised at club level.Good idea John, thanks for volunteering to make the arrangements!

Good luck with that. It can be hard work trying to organise a club outing. The destination is no problem - trying to get the amount of members needed to make the journey worthwhile is the hard part. Plus, as you said, we're getting into the sumemrtime months now, it will be harder for clubs to keep in touch with their mmbers and organise something. Summer is always a hard time to keep things going.
