DOWN TIME - 22-05-2007

Hi all,

There will be some short down time this evening as I continue to move us to our new server. Tonight it's the database's turn to get moved. This means I'll have to disable the boards, back up the database, upload it to the new server, re-congfigure the boards to use the new DB and then re-enable the boards. Our DB is quite large at this stage so it could take a while to export and import. Changing the board configuration is trivial. So, expect 10 mins of down time on top of hoe ever long the DB takes to import and export, my estimate would be 30 mins to an hour of down time in total.

Huh? The front page looks the same as it has for ages. I'm not following you at all.

From my perspective, the front page is missing pieces. The 5 Most Recent Posts are not updating, and under that, it is not showing up who is online. Currently, there are 0 (zero) users online. Refresh etc shows no change, yet the boards themselves do have the yellow flags for new posts as I am surfing and catching up.
