Help for Occultation Airticle was created by galwayskywatchers
Hi , Im doing an airticle for our SKYWATCH newsletter on Occultations especially planets occulting planets, i know in the distant future there is one where Jupiter is Occulted by Venus, another with mars and mercury, i remember there being three altogether ,one being partial. Just wondering if anyone knows these dates ?? Also like Seanie i am looking for original material from anyone on anything astronomical for next months newsletter.

hi Ronan,
have a look at www.go.ednet.ns.ca/~larry/planets/occltlst.htm
if you can get your hands on a copy of Joe Ashbrook's "The Astronomical Scrapbook" (published by Sky and Telescope) there is a very good chapter in it on planets occulting each other. The book is a collection of Joe's articles in the magazine (I can't remember the issue offhand that the aforementioned one appeared in).
Also, Mathematical Astronomy Morsels by Jean Meeus (Willmann Bell).
