Its not often we see a crossover between the High Culture of the Arts and mere Science.....so lets all sing a stanza from one of Queen's greatest hits.

Bohemian Rhapsody:

I see a little silhouetto of a man
Scaramouch, scaramouch will you do the fandango
Thunderbolt and lightning - very very frightening me
Gallileo, Gallileo,
Gallileo, Gallileo,
Gallileo Figaro - magnifico

Brian was studying astrophysics in college when Queen were formed and dropped it to join the band.

Many congrats on his doctorate.

Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better programs, and the universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the universe is winning.

Congratulations to him :D But it looks like he didn't have much input lyrically in the following, from the astrophysically inaccurate Don't Stop Me Now:

Im a shooting star leaping through the sky
Like a tiger defying the laws of gravity

Im a racing car passing by like lady godiva
Im gonna go go go
Theres no stopping me

Im burning through the sky yeah!
Two hundred degrees
Thats why they call me mister fahrenheit
Im travling at the speed of light
I wanna make a supersonic man out of you
.

 I always wondered why people talk of a "meteoric rise", when it's just the opposite.
