Intes cease telescope production was created by gnason
German dealer Markus Ludes says Intes has finally ceased telescope manufacturing. It's sad to see a manufacturer of such quality telescopes stop production. Presumably, this was due to the continual rivalry between Intes and Intes Micro, with the latter finally winning out.

I don't mean any intent by saying this, but maybe someones loss is anothers gain? I mean, we may see a liquidation sale of some of the finest scopes made for a long time. They are pricey instruments, but among the best none-the-less.

It reminds me of the Meade Celestron scenario and how Meade almost bought out Celestron last year, its a pity to see such a player go out of business, it only damages the trade by reducing competition.
But, if it means some people get new scopes, at least thats something.

Seanie,
A liquidation sale! Hadn't thought of that. Perhaps Lidl will grab a load of them!
Andromeda Optics incidentally sell Intes Micro telescopes despite the Intes name on the web site so no cheap liquidation sale there!
