A visually stunning ode to time, music, and the stars, Timothy Ferris' SEEING IN THE DARK celebrates the wonders of stargazing -- from kids learning the constellations to amateur astronomers doing professional-grade research in discovering planets and exploding stars.

Based on Ferris' award-winning book, the film features never-before seen astronomical photography, special effects, and a memorable original musical score by Mark Knopfler and Guy Fletcher.

Looks like this is a good film ... though I doubt we'll see it in Irish cinemas some how.

I wasn't too impressed with it, and found it rather misleading. The stress placed on high-tech equipment made me walk away at the end of the program feeling that you need to be rich in order to be an Amateur.
That, I think, is where the program failed the most.

Also, there are a few spots where the author attempted to put a bit of his heart and soul in, but they were generally embarrassing to watch. You'd have to see the program to know what I mean.
