The night closes in faster this Equinox night than on any other night of the year.
Easily noticed even by non-astronomers.

Within a week or two the long summer days will be a memory.

I'm counting on some clear chilly nights. Now that I am regaining some free time, like some of you also, it will be time to start dusting of some of the equipment again. It has been early May when I last brought out the scope... thats 5 months of no proper astronomical viewing. :x

That is tough going  The withdrawal symptoms must be awful.
Lets hope for clean night ahead.

It's more frustrating John. I mean, sure, I've been out on some nights with the easy chairs, binos in one hand, travel mug of hot tea in the other, and, with my (new) missus, talk about all kinds of bull under the stars. But it's the nights that were really clear that, due to any number of excuses like having to work, too tired, or elsewhere out of the house and thus no scope at hand, that I could have taken it out, but Murphy's Law said no. :)
