serendipitous astronaut autograph? was created by johnflannery
hi folks,
was down home last weekend and came across a second-hand bookshop in Nenagh that I hadn't known was there. I picked up a lavish book published by Time Life on the American Space Programme (dating from 1983 or thereabouts) for six euro.
was thumbing through it Sunday night when I came across a signature on a page about the Apollo-Soyuz linkup. At first I though it was a facimile reproduction but the reverse of the page has the imprint of the signature so it looks genuine. It's signed by Deke Slayton -- I compared the writing with that on an astronaut autograph website and can't see a difference.
does anyone know how I could check out the validity of this? Is it worth millions
lesson -- keep the eyes peeled as ya never know what you'll find!
all the best,
John

Your best bet is to contact Gary Nugent at his D.N.O,S. website and bask him as he deals with space memorabilia
