searchlights over the city was created by stepryan
ladies and gents,
just noticed that there is some twit shining to searchlights onto the clouds SE of where i live in finglas. i would say they are probably somewhere near phibsboro at a guess. they are the ones that rotate around. anybody else seen them?.

Yeah Stephen, I ve noticed them for the past few nights also.
A friend of mine thinks they are out of a circus that has set up somewhere around the Phoenix Park. :roll:

Possibly the same circus that has been doing the rounds for a while. We had it in Maynooth not too long ago and it was right royal PITA. There should be laws against that kind of light polution. I mean it's literally pissing energy up into the sky!

Perhaps you should report it to air traffic control as a potential hazard to navigation? If authorities get excited about green lasers blinding pilots they should also get upset about searchlights. If so, that would get it sorted pretty quick.

I'll go look around town tonight if I can. These skybeams should be banned - and are in many cities across Europe.
