searchlights over the city

Looks to be from the top of Arnotts or the Jervis Centre. Didn't get a chance to wander down Henry St. to see exactly.

A few ppl I met had noticed them but no one could tell me what they were supposed to be promoting.

Has anyone taken a picture of these lights?

I happened to be standing on O’Connell Street Bridge on Wednesday evening (12th December) at around 8 pm. I noticed these lights towards a westerly direction, in the direction of the Phoenix Park. The beams appear to make 180 degree sweeps, there appeared to be two search lights in action and lit up the base of some scattered Cumulus clouds. The beams when at my extreme right and then left of vision appeared to have an angle of 60 degrees from source. This is the best information I can provide considering I had consumed 8 pints of larger while my brain was engaged in working out physical movements in order to get me home safely .

Of course I meant “Lager”; I guess the alcohol hasn’t fully departed my system yet!
BTW, I eventually made it home in a westerly direction without those damn searchlights!

Some eejits were doing the same in Belfast last night. There were two searchlights down at the Waterfront Hall, panning around all over the place.
