I'll go with Saturn too. I've all but given up on seeing Mars properly.

Saturn never ceases to impress, particularly as it looks different every year. I'm looking forward to getting a better look at Jupiter too - it was very poorly placed this year.
Since I got the 10" I've given more time to DSOs - M42 looks superb with that aperture and the globulars look more the part as well.

Paul i'm glad you brought up Jupiter cuz it allows me to ask this without looking stupid:
Where the hell is it? It is not on any program i have.My Skyscout found it at 6am this morning below me to the left...so it doesnt even rise rise now in our skies i'm guessing.
When will we start seeing it?

Not a stupid question at all Paul - Jupiter has just emerged from behind the Sun so will become visible in the mornings over the coming months. The bad news is that this year, like last year, is one of those years when those of us this far north don't get a good view as it remains pretty low in the sky. It's going to be the Summer before we'll see it in the evening.

Thanks for the info Paul. I cant wait to see it. Reading "Turn left at Orion" right now and it shows Saturn pretty much the same size as i see..........so looking at the sketch of Jupiter has me drooling.
