Jupiter's pretty big - even binos will show it as a disc and of course the four biggest moons, and even a small scope will show banding and the Great Red Spot. I'm not sure how long we have to wait for it to get higher in the sky!

Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better programs, and the universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the universe is winning.

The double cluster in Perseus with either 25X100 binoculars or with a wide field low magnification eyepiece such as the Moonfish. The amount of stars that fills the field of view is overwhelming and it's impossible to take your eyes away.
Given a second choice I would have to say the shadows of craters and mountains strecthed across the plains of the moon.

Lunartic.....just reading up on the double cluster in Perseus...there are about 600 stars visible in the same FOV using a low power EP to capture both clusters in the same FOV.
600 stars in one FOV................does sound pretty amazing.
