Let me be the 1st one....(if imay)

Hello All,i don't really want to take matters into my own hands here, but just for fun i'd like to be the 1st one to share some astroshots with you if I may (Jim - i'll post if you want) , since we don't have our own photo section yet, these are just some widefield shots of the Summer Milkyway I took at home recently back out on the Waterford Coast. There's a view of the Center of our Galaxy, the Constellation Aquila, and Cygnus & Lyra.

Keith there is a files section now. (I've already put a oic up.

I'm glad to see the files section get used but there seems to be a slight problem as one of tyhe images did not get uploaded correctly.

What pussels me is that it did not register with a mime-type of image/pjpeg like JPEG images should but as an application. This is very odd. The file did upload to the server and if you right click it you can download it but no images software I have will open it. It seems to be an invalid image!

Great shots Keith, although some of them didn't come up - probably because you had apostrphe's and spaces in the file names?
As a general rule, it's best to have letters, numbers and underscore characters to space out words. Spaces themselves can be misinterpreted by web browsers and the URl won't resolve to the image!

Ah bugger .... and I thought I had death with everything! ... It can easily handel spaces and even & signs but it cannot handel any form of quotation mark, question mark or #. I am amazed that your opeating system lits you include such characters in the file names in the first place because most don't (as far as I know).

I'll have to have a good think about how to fix this so in the mean time please only upload files with sensible file names!
