CERN?

Didn't see anything about that in the news. If they are shutting down more then its good news. Means the LHC might actually start operating in May. Though its replacing the Large Electron-Positron Collider which was decommissioned in 2000.

CERN - something else that Ireland is not a part of...

Yea my sister in law is working with the progect with her husbund and ive just spoke to them. They told me its ending. Ive asked them could i bring people to see it and she said i could. Anyony goiny to switzerland?

Never been to that part of Switzerland/France unfortunately. So what project exactly is ending?

First of all the spelling is "CERN", not "SERN".

The greatest physics laboratory in history, the "Large Hadron Collider"(LHC) is about to open up on the CERN site.

The Compact Muon Solenoid was only completed a few weeks ago.(22 Jan 2008)

The closure report is a joke.
