One hundred years ago Percival Lowell published his book “Mars as the Abode of Life” . (April 1908).

Maybe the “rake marks” are some more of Lowell’s “canals”!

Wow, that shot was taken from 6,800km away, yet it looks like a much closer close up. The features are very striking.
