I'm getting a bit tired dragging my CGE 1400 outside and re-aligning it every time it is clear. I’ve toyed with the idea of building a custom-built shed with a removable / sliding roof to permanently house the scope.
I realise that many of you will have something like this already.
What I'm looking for here is for advice on the best way to go about this or tips and tricks that you have learnt from your own endeavours.
One particular question is what advantages and disadvantages do timber sheds have over metal for our purposes?
Would love to hear your comments, thanks in advance.

Two quick points:
1.Metal: Metal surrounds can interfere with internal scope GPS .
2.Wood: Your insurance company may refuse to insure such an expensive piece of kit being placed in a wooden shed in the garden !

Two good points. I hadn't thought of either. And that's what makes these forums an excellent resource.
