Hi Keith,
I built a timber Observatory I had no problem with the insurance company at all. Like I told you she is a heavy beast. How are you getting on with the polar alignment and set up of the Scope? Here is the way I built my Observatory webtreatz.com/content/view/54/66/ . If you have my mobile if you have any questions.

Cheers Carl. Getting on grand, feck all clear nights since I bought the skope. Last Tuesday was cloud free all night, but the seeing was rubbish. No problems with alignment, it seems to hold it quite well.
Attempted my first ever shots of Saturn with the neximage webcam but my image was badly affected by the poor seeing. Stacking with Registax helped matters a bit but the next clear night with good seeing and I'm glued to that scope!

I'd recommend having a look at
"Setting up a small observatory - from concept to construction"
by David Arditti. I'm in the same boat as you and found this very helpful.
