Irish Ferries Eclipse Cruise August 11th 1999

aw man, I should have been there, I even looked into getting on the ship but left it too late and there were no spaces :x

so I took a weeks holidays in Paris that week, I had planned to go to LeHarve but instead got on the web where it said go inland as the coast had a high chance of clouds and haze, I went to Metz on the German border and missed totality and cought the partial phases at the end.
and of course, where was the ONLY place in northern Europe to see totality, LeHarve !!!
I nearly jumped off the apartment balcony when I saw it on TV back in Paris. :evil:
So basically, I have a camcorder video of Dawn and I standing in a park in Metz, in the rain, listening to the birds whistling and the lights coming on as it got dark.

ah well, atleast Antalya made up for it 7 years later.

And you call me unlucky!?
