I have to look into that more Dave, but I think notification was given before that the e-mail notification feature was going to be defaulted to 'Off' (due to either a previous update, or the big changeover), and it would be up to individual users to select that feature for themselves.

There was the ability on the old forum for you to be emailed about any new threads created - so you could at least see the first post and decide if it was a thread you were interested in.
I think what Darragh did was around you seeing a post on the new board and replying to it. The initial action was defaulted to sending you emails if there were subsequent post. Darragh then defaulted that to no.
They're two different things. As it stands, I have to remember to go to the IFAS site and see what new posts there are. If its a few days between visits, I can miss them.
