This is part of the Home Planet sky mapping software.

The photos are false in that they are representations of what coud be seen from these satellites rather than actual photographs therefore the artificial lights seen in the darkside photos are false too.

Actually, the light pollution is a lot worse than is depicted.

Thanks James. I wondered why all pic had the same resolution and feel.
