North West Observing question

Hi all,

First post as I've just joined the forum.

I was wondering if there are any observers from the North West as I'm looking for some advice on good observation sites around the Derry/Donegal area that anyone may know of.

Hope somebody might be able to give me some advice.

Welcome to the madhouse Kathleen (cool screen name BTW)
There are a lot of the lads n lasses from up North post here.
I'm sure they will be able to point you in the right direction.
I'd have thought there would be an astronomy club in Derry, the size of it.

I'm sure there are other observers in the North West area but although I'm from Derry originally I actually live and work in Scotland now (although I come home a few times a year) which is why I am not aware of any clubs etc.

I've recently got back into observing by buying a telescope and was planning to bring it home with me at Xmas and get some observing in. Which is why I was asking for some helpful 'intel'.
