Hi,
I get one delivery each month - 4 magazines and 4 sets of parts. I've received 3 binders and 2 (unwanted) DVDs - one by Patrick Moore and one of the Columbia Shuttle - @ £7.99 each!
I reckon 5 episodes left

I rang the publishers yesterday after reading John's post about getting 3 folders.
I was told that the extra folders hadn't been included in my subscription. I pointed out that when I'd signed up this option was never offered to me.
The folders cost £4.99 each so instead of having magazines all over the place I opted to order 2 of them but there was no budging them on a cost reduction given that I think it's publishers fault that this was not clearly pointed out at the beginning.
So if anyone wants extra folders you know what you have to do.

I thought there was an option on the subscription page for folders, to be honest it was so long ago....

Frank,
For me the magazines themselves were mediocre, they are for someone who is completely new to the hobby. I have ZERO interest in the mags and knew that would be the case. If there was an option just to get the model I would have gone for that, but I bit the bullet as I always wanted an orrery, the model itself is super!
Anyone see the "Build a model Earth, moon and Sun orbiter" on TV.
It looks nice enough but the sheer potential uselessness of the magazines is putting me off it.
(made by the same company as the solarsystem model, so presuming the same low level magazines).
Again, I'd get the magazine-less option if there was one there for this model.
If you do go for this model, do not go for the "special gifts" option, I can imagine they're like the rubbish CDs in the solar system kit.
A nice kit, but not sure if i want this one.

For those who didnt sub scribe to the mag, there is a fully built orrery on ebay
cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&i...D0%26_fvi%3D1&_rdc=1
That cuts it for me, no way am I subscribing to the earth/moon/sun mag, cheaper to buy the model next year finished on ebay..
IF you can persuade the guy to disconnect the planet arms from it, it would be easy to ship it safely (a 5 minute job with an allen key).

200 is his starting bid.
He probably has a reserve.
This may fetch more that 200 in the end.
It'll be an interesting one to watch.
For some it's less painful to spend a few quid a month
on the magazine and part rather than to dish out a
was of cash in one go.
How much again did ye pay for the whole lot?
