Good weather ahead!! was created by Frank Ryan
I almost put this into the Atmospheric Phenomena section!
There is a massive H system over Europe moving slowly N/W.
The isobars look loose so the winds should ease, also
the jet stream is not too bad so all in all a few days of
excellent weather ahead!
Yippeee!!

What a day woke up this morning with sun shinning in the window, had a nice sunny day and now preparing for a good long night under the stars :woohoo:

Transparency is lousy in Bray. Hazy. Sky Glow from the fairground at the seafront and 4 Bright searchlights panning around the sky no less. Think I'll give the observing a miss

Yeahm great for daytime but as long as the winds are from the southeast, the seeing will be really lousy with a lot of fog
One question I've always been meaning to ask, why are irish skies so bad when we have a high pressure for the southeast???
Anyway, the winds are forcast to change around sunday with them coming from the north, so then we can really have some great skies again
Keith..

Don't know exactly but I'd hazard a guess.
As in tonight warm moist air in the HP system is driven
by (relatively) warm wind currents from the SW over the
land which is cold (cooled down after sunset which the clear
skies accelerate).
This is what causes the fog.
A HP system coming from the N may be cooler and the winds
defiantly so therefore the temp diff is not as great therefore
less fog.
I may have this totally A-ways but that's my best shot.
