There seems to be some serious weather in China right now!
How are things looking for the eclipse?

Hi Frank,
Certain provinces in China are getting hit quite hard with heavy rains and floods. This is no surprise since it is monsoon season.
Aside from my primary location (Hangzhou), I have an open invitation for a gathering atop one of the mountains to the northwest of Hangzhou and at 950 meters altitude.
With two weeks to go, I am sure many things can and will change.
Fingers crossed things work out. Technically we need two hours of clear skies and, if necessary, only 45 seconds during totality to capture our series of exposures.
Anthony.

So will you 'head for the hills' then?
Obviously this mountain is a good location for you to be
thinking about going there.
Travel by land in China would make me nervous
escpecially after the chicken run we went on in Russia.

Not looking good.
However, as we discovered in Novosibirsk, all can change on the day.
