?observing night 13/14th Jan in Limerick was created by shazzie
Hi there
If anyone from the shannonside group going to the observing night on Friday or Saturday is living in Limerick city would they be able to give me a lift as I dont have a car?I'm working till 8pm in Co Limerick friday night but I could make my way back into the city that night if it was easier or on Saturday night I could meet them in the city centre.I would really appreciate it if it didnt cause too much inconvenience as I've never been to an observing night and would love to go!Also I presume we bring telescopes if we have them?
Thanks

Hi Shazzie,
Thats no probs, looking at the weather its more likely that it will be saturday night, we try and encourage everyone to bring their scope as practice makes perfect, also those who are having difficulty can be helped out.
If we're going, we'll be making phone calls on saturday evening.
The only thing I'll say is that make sure you wrap up very warmly, been your first time up on the hill, it can be surprisingly cold, especially this time of year.

Thanks Dave,
I hope its Saturday because it might be too awkward to bring my scope to work.
