I think it is imperative you take photos and add them to a newly created folder in the Files section here for us to see!
Also, can you do a checklist with prices and sources of the materials you have used?

i have always wanted to make a telescope from scratch but it takes many long hours. I hope it works out for you as the mirror can be a very long and slow process

You're not wrong there Conor!! Last night for example, I had left the mirror and polishing tool in contact with a layer of clingfilm betweem them to prevent them locking together. The idea is that this makes the pitch tool remain an exact match for the mirror. Well for some reason the clingfilm seemed to stick both of them together like glue. I ended up having to soak them both in warm water and then beat the living daylights out of the mirror with a rubber mallet to get them to separate. They did eventually separate with no damage to either but it was a right pain and a whole evening went to waste!
