TelescopePlanet has ceased trading was created by mykc
Just a bit of gossip - TelescopePlanet seems to have gone out of business. On the other hand other retailers, e.g. First Light Optics, appear to be very busy. Perhaps FLO's good reputation for customer service really makes a difference, especially in hard economic times.

Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better programs, and the universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the universe is winning.

From what I've been reading on Stargazerslounge TelescopePlanet had a terrible reputation for customer service. Buyers were left for months waiting for goods and emailing and telephoning made no difference and many didn't even recieve their orders.
Definitely in these difficult economic times customer service has to be of the highest quality as word of mouth and online reviews can make or break a company.
