Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better programs, and the universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the universe is winning.

Hi all
Are there any plans for the big night? It looks like the weather might be behaving itself, for once.
If there is nothing organised by SDAS I think I'll invite friends over, cook something to eat, a few glasses of vino and show them the fireworks.

For the past two nights I've been out and spent the last half an hour or so trying to spot some Perseids, Tuesday morning between 1am and 1.35am and Wednesday morning between 12 midnight and 12.40am. All I could see were a couple of sporadics and an Iridium flare, all last night.

Is it just me or was it a particularly clear night over Dublin last night? Raheny at least was very clear by 11.30.

Just to wet your appetite further for observing and recording the 2010 Perseids I include here the last two night’s video combined still images from West and North meteor cameras. Images combined in Mira Pro 7.
