Kerbal Space Program Game was created by paddyman
Hey,
Just in case anyone is interested there is a fun little game that is available on Steam called The Kerbal Space Program. It might be of interest to people here. Is anyone else playing it?.

The basic goal of the game is to build a space program and launch astronauts into space. It is still in beta but it can be bought and played (actually very playable in its current state). I am having a lot of fun with it.
The easiest to start of with is basic 1 use rockets but you can progress up to re-useable craft. It is a sandbox game which gives you the option of doing anything you want. The range of spaceship designs you can make is amazing. There is also a very active Third Party Mod scene with great add-ons.
You can land on the Mun (moon), asteroid or other planets. Build space stations and launch them into space. You can then bring astronauts up to it and dock with them. They are developing a career mode for it to.
Its not a simulator and has an easy learning curve, so its very easy to get into to. You don't need a powerful PC either. While they are not simulator physics they are very good. I have learned a lot about orbits and orbit transitions for docking, landing, thruster burns.
All in all a very fun game! - I am enjoying it.

haha - no bother. Something to do while its raining so bad.
I have managed to land 3 Kerbals on the Mun 3 times with the larger rockets and pods. Only once have I managed to get them back to earth....so i have 6 Kerbals stuck on the Mun i am trying to rescue ha. I have tried a few rescue missions with un-manned vehicles but between running out of electricity, fuel and messing up orbit landings (leaving me miles away from the landing site)I havent been able to get to them yet lol.
