Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better programs, and the universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the universe is winning.

...wouldn't it have been better if the ESB had decided to strike this week instead of two weeks time?
Their proposed strike is due to coincide with the full moon, if this had happened around the new moon, it would have been nice to have some potential dark country skies from the back garden.
Ah well!

There I was rubbing my hands with glee,
On hearing the news from the ESB.
For while they put the City in the dark,
I can go stargazing in the Park.
All these bright lights get me down.
To see the stars I have to travel far from town.
What with street lights and security lights in the way,
My back garden is lit up as if it's day.
So a great chance to see the sky
From the City Centre is coming by.
But alas, it just isn't fair,
They'll strike during Full Moon and when it's cloudy everywhere!
