Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better programs, and the universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the universe is winning.

Just thought I would paste this information that was posted by Ben Sugarman on the Meetup site for observing locations in the north Wicklow area.

Hi Paul,
Only members of the meetup group can see this.
Perhaps Ben could directly post the map here?
Michael.

Thanks Michael,
I have uploaded the three maps here.
1. Google map locations and descriptions.
2. With Dark Sky Map overlay.
3. Further place found down in South Wicklow, but only 20 mins from Southern Cross N11.

Sorry these pics exceeded the maximum size - will try to resize and upload again.
Looks like they are too big so here are links.

Are there any SQM readings available for those sites?

I Don't have an SQM meter unfortunately - If anyone has one thy are willing to lend out, I would be happy to map these and others with an SQM reading.
p.s. I went down on Sunday night to the site listed down in Kilbride, and unfortunately they had put up a massive security light since I was there last. However there is another one very close by - the car park in St. Kevin's Church next to Dunganstown castle. The southern sky was really excellent from here, and it is a very quiet location close to the N11 (although I did have to give a quick night sky tour to a couple of well behaved boy racers who dropped in).
