Cork Astronomy Club welcomes UCC’s Prof Paul Callanan who will give a lecture titled “How astronomy put Cork on the Map”. Paul Callanan is professor of physics and astronomy at UCC, and has an interest in the history of astronomy, especially in Cork.
8pm, in UCC’s Civil Engineering Building, room 110 (this is near UCC’s College Road entrance). Please arrive 10 minutes early. If you want to join, at 7:40 please.
This is Cork Astronomy Club ’s monthly meeting, free admission. It closes at 9:40 pm but you are welcome to stay for tea afterwards, and to join our Club (€30 annual subscription, concession €20).
