Some Shots of the Perseid Shower

Luckily the skies stayed clear here in Cork and about 40 of us from CAC were able to observe the meteorite shower from 11.00 to circa 01.30. Not as good as forecast but we did manage to see between 40 to 50. Some shots of those we managed to observe attached.

Good work. Cloud and more cloud up North. Forecast has it pretty good for Kerry/Cork/Clare later tonight

Nice shots there, we were also lucky and managed to get 2 hours of clear skies,
Lots of meteors seen.

Thanks guys, first time I have uploaded images, pity they came out so small, very hard to see any detail in them even when you click on them. Is there some way to show them as larger images?

I think the biggest size this site accepts is 800 pixels wide. Try resizing to 800 x something smaller and see how that works. (Maybe Michael has more info to offer).

The easiest way is to link to a full size image on a photo sharing website (Picasa, Photobucket etc).

I believe that there are astronomy specific ones out there.
