After a successful event, I would like a say a massive THANK YOU to the following people for making the event happen:

- The Speakers for preparing and delivering an excellent set of talks. They really were top class!

- Dunsink Observatory for kindly hosting the event. Particular thanks to Jonathan, Sam and Hilary.

- All those who travelled to the event, especially those who flew over from the UK. Great to see good turnout of BAA members!

- Nick James very kindly brought the voice recorder and so in due course I hope to sync the audio with the PowerPoint files and share them here. Thanks Nick!

- Mike Foylan for setting up his meteor camera demonstration.

- Stephen Corcoran ( www.meteorites.ie ) for setting up his meteorite display

- Everyone else who helped out in their own way to make the event happen.

Thanks for posting the videos on this Michael.

I've recently installed some security cams and notice they can reach down to mag 3.7 theta Ceti, even without being designed for that purpose. If a fireball shows up, I'll let y'all know.

Hi Finbarr,
Hope you find them interesting.
If you get bitten by the 'meteor' bug and want to delve in more, please feel free to ask questions.
If you are running CCTV cameras and want to keep accurate time, I suggest using a free program called Dimension4 and syncing to the clock at TCD.

For those who wish to view the videos, they are at

Quality presentations Michael, as expected from anything connected with the BAA.

Is there a way of accessing the Dunsink database? The distribution of meteor magnitudes or even the proportion of clear/cloudy nights would be of interest, and act as a reference for my more mundane setup.

Thanks,
Finbarr.

Finbarr,
You can see some of our results here:
www.nemetode.org/scientific%20results.htm
Worth reading the papers in there as they will explain more about the setup, population index of various meteor showers, etc.
You can also access some of our older data sets at the base of the page.
The data is also uploaded to the EDMOND database:
www.meteornews.net/edmond/edmond/edmond-database/
fmph.uniba.sk/en/microsites/daa/division...skum/meteors/edmond/
As for cloud cover, we don't monitor that per se.
Regards,
Michael.
