Assuming the clouds stay away, is anyone hoping to make it down to the Sugar Loaf tonight?

I don't understand why sessions are scheduled around full moon.  We go to dark sites to see deep sky objects, not the moon.

Good point Paul - looking out there at the moment the sky is pretty much washed out by that bright Moon. And as it is pretty much full, there is very little to observe on the Moon this evening. In saying that , I can't resist a clear sky. So with that in mind, I am off out to the back-garden to observe some of the brighter open clusters, and I might even take a look a Jupiter while I'm at it.

First, thanks to Mike Murphy for answering my call for help on facebook

I was told you were meeting this coming friday & I would like to pop along. I've a C11 which I have had for about 6 months and although I have enjoyed nice views of the planets I really want to get to use the tracking/goto which has been impossible where I live.
