Hi Paul,
Sounds good to me! And I'll bring down your book for sure - thanks again!
Clear skies,
Darren.

HI Aubrey,
The cold doesn't bother me as much as I can wrap up, but with a strong wind forecast could that make observing from the Sugar Loaf tricky? Would Glencullen be a a better option as it would provider some shelter from the wind - just an idea?
Of course, if you and Michael head to Sugar Loaf tomorrow I'll join you.
Clear skies,
Darren.

I see the weather for Friday 26th has worsened.
The weather for Trooperstown looks worse than Sugarloaf.
I wonder if the Cloon Wood Car park be a better bet?
It is protected from the North so the wind shouldn't be a problem.
We could still meet at the Sugarloaf, then try Cloon. If that doesn't work out go to Glencullen?
Michael.
I haven't been there for a while so I'm not sure if it's still open.

Hello, Darren, Michael and Paul.
Thank you for each of your responses.
By all means, please bring your scopes on Friday night.
But as the wind is far too strong I have decided I won't bring mine. Sorry.
Instead I will hang around and chat with whoever is coming.
As we are all vaccinated as this stage I will ask permission to have a quick peek at whatever folks are looking at - if that's okay.
And I don't mind where we will end up. Thank you.
Maybe Friday 3rd December will be more calm.
I will bring the scope then.
Clear skies from Aubrey.

Hi All,
I realise I'm the new guy but I would love to come this evening. I live about 15 minutes drive from the Sugarloaf and unfortunately it's currently very windy, raining & lots of cloud, although it could blow over by this evening.
If it looks ok I'll aim to be at the carpark for 7pm. If I'm not there, I've decided to give it a miss due to the weather. I think I need to buy something to throw over the scope if it starts to rain...an xmas pressie from the betterhalf perhaps
Hope to meet up with you all at some time.
Cheers
Grant

Hello Grant.
You will be made very welcome to join us tonight (Friday).
Please bring whatever equipment you wish.
We are a most friendly bunch.
And we don't mind being asked any type of question you may have.
Another option is to bring your scope tomorrow night (Saturday) if you are free.
Very best regards from Aubrey.
