Sugarloaf Friday 17th December

Hello Michael. 

Do you have any further thoughts about the weather on Friday night?

If so, there will be 3 stars have their occultations with the Moon. 
The first is going to be a K7 star.
These stars can appear almond brown. 
The second and third are a double star called Tau Tauri. 

Now all we need are clear skies.

Weather is looking iffy at the moment but we'll make the decision at 6.

I have such a busy day today Friday. 
So I have decided to empty the car anyway. 
But I won't load up my equipment until nearer 6pm. 

By the way, I'm getting the booster today at 2pm.

It looks unlikely I can make it tonight. If I did I could only join you late. But as you say chances of us going to observe are quite slim as the weather forecast does not look promising.

I did manage to get about 30mins with Jupiter early in the week. So at least that's something! 

According to Clear Outside there is about 70% low cloud at 9pm. 

Is anyone else joining us I wonder?
